Column scrubber KWS

The column scrubber has a demister in the upper area just before the flue gas outlet, which retains entrained droplets. Below this is the distribution plate with the circulating water supply. Below this is the bed, which contains plastic, metal or ceramic bodies, depending on the application. The exhaust gas inlet and the circulation water storage tank are located below the support grid of the bed.

Liquid is pumped from the storage tank to the distribution base via a circulation pump. The liquid then flows over the bed until it returns to the storage tank.

A dosing pump injects the reagent into the riser of the circulation water.

The water distribution on the bed provides a larger surface area for the reagent to react with the pollutants than in the spray scrubber, which means that higher input concentrations can be achieved with lower clean gas concentrations.
